OH BABY IT'S A WILD WORLD!

And sometimes a little too wild, when the habitats of wild animals disappear day after day — together with the favourite animals of so many children.

That is why we, Sanne and Jan Willem, would love to share a story that is very close to our hearts.

During our trip to South Africa in February 2020, we met two truly inspiring people while on safari: Wendy and John. They both left their secure careers in finance and advertising to found the Wild Tomorrow Fund in 2015.

Their mission is to protect African wildlife and preserve valuable ecosystems and biodiversity for future generations.

Many wildlife reserves across Africa face enormous daily challenges. Without sufficient funding and supplies, it becomes increasingly difficult to protect animals from poaching, snares, broken fences and water shortages.

As a result, animals such as lions, rhinos, elephants, wild dogs and countless other species are under serious threat.

What touched us most was the passion Wendy and John bring to their work. Some animals in the reserves are even known by name and have been followed and protected for many years.

The donations collected are used for urgently needed equipment, conservation projects and scientific research in more than 14 reserves across South Africa and Mozambique.

In addition to wildlife conservation, they also support local communities. Schools are renovated and women-led initiatives such as “The Green Mambas” are trained in sustainable environmental protection and conservation work.
